jerc (3056), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 19, 2008 2008-05-17. Orange amber body with a nice creamy beige head and lace. (3+) Yeast over modest fruit in aroma, very light citrusy hops. (6+) Pleasant light bitterness, light citrus/fruit, lightly astringent finish lingers. (6+) Average palate. Fairs extra well in comparison to its brethren. Light notes of diacetyl like character in the finish. The most quaffable of the bunch, at least on this visit. Sampler at the brewpub. Appearance :good bright white head , neat lace shown with clear amber below. 4- Nose :
Medium strong hop nose, citrus-fruit with green leaf.6+. Flavour/Palate : Woody like base with warming alcohol and hop presence. Clean , well made but this was not rich full fledged IPA . Sweet malt with hint of German Hops married with West Coast American. Good.
hopson (435), Williamsville, New York, USA May 17, 2007 I was pleasently surprised with this. english hop aroma, some maltyness. Tasted a bit coppery, probably due to the condition of the taps. Decent flavor though, big bitterness in the finish. red éric (1379), montréal, Quebec, Canada Mar 6, 2007 Broght amber color, with a frothy white head, leaving laces, nice fruity nose of apples, faint spiciness, floral hops grassiness and leafiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp flowery hop bitterness character, with a citrus hop and peachy fruitiness, leafy and grassy notes, with a nice piney accent, leading towards a leafy hop bitterness finish. estoppel (964), Buffalo, New York, USA Oct 24, 2006 Amber body, white head, English hop nose. Clearly this brewer is not trying to copy the countless PNW-overhopped IPAs out there, so this is a refreshing change of pace. Nonetheless, not a superb example of the style.
