Sampled at the brewery’s taproom on draught in LaCrosse, WI. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a decent off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and beige ring. Aroma of roasted dark malts with some caramel, chocolate and a touch of coffee. Taste is medium to full bodied, flavors of roasted dark malt, some chocolate, a touch of lactose and cream. Finish is smooth and creamy texture with a semi-sweet toasted dark malt in the aftertaste. Kind of similar to the Thats What Im Talkin About Oat Stout but a tad sweeter and smoother finish.
