boa cerveja para os dias frios. Lata bonita, com um pelicano, cinza. Coloração vinho escuro, espuma de boa formação ambar. Cheiro alcoolico adocicado. Forte. Gosto marcado por traços de açúcar. amarga, retrogosto amargo bom. Boa drinkabilidade.

50cl can from France (merci Papa!), served cold in a goblet. BB 07/01/10. NO26/09.

App.: Deep copper nice light tan meringue. Aroma: Some nice cake/bread/biscuit, light minty herbals, some caramel/toffee, sweet pleasant fruitiness – some berries, some raisins, a touch vinous, a touch rum-like, a little yeast, a very pleasant surprise! Palate: Medium body, fairly sparse effervescence, smooth. Flav.: Really nice fruitiness, some molasses, a fair bit of brown sugar, a touch of orange peel, a little chocolate, toffee and caramel; lightly sweet, a touch of bitterness, nice medium-roasted malt finish.

A very pleasant surprise indeed.

29/11 A 0.33 l can brought from France. It poured brown body with smaller, slightly off white head. Caramel and strongly roasted malt in its aroma. Similar, roasted sugar, caramel and some grainy flavor. Medium bodied. Caramelly, coffee and a overburnt sugar finish. Might be very simple, but it’s pretty fine beer, as Doggythedog said, quite easily the best tonight.

Can found somewhere in France with heavy, with whom I’ve shared it yesterday (read: a few hours ago)
Poured a red-brown body witha a small off white head. Sweetish, dry, malty/grainy nose with light notes of chocolate. The taste is sweetish again, malty, notes of dog food (but not annoying), grainy, with some notes of coffee near the end. Very light hopiness. Not all that bad, the best beer tonight possibly and I love the can too.

A dark ruby brown ale with a thick light moka head. In aroma, a good caramel malt with herbal overtones, light mineral notes. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt, candy sugar, light licorice notes, very simple, a bit cloying. Medium bodied. 500 ml shared with Probstk, Nov. 26 2009. Merci Karl.

.5l can in Paris. Nicely designed package but screams ’high-alc macro ice beer’ here in the states. Taste is surprisingly strong and complex. Sweet maltiness up top but too heavy. Not very elegant, all heavy creaminess. Some nice spicy notes and its does echo better brunes, but this is definitely a metallic macro.

The can looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts malty and strong, shows fruity notes of plum, also some caramell and raisins. Soft finish, malty, well balanced, modest dry. Really good!

500ml can...among other vessels. A particularly decent French beer. Bronze brown in colour, nice nutty, chocolatey maltiness, drying moderately bitter finish with good rich body about it. Goes down very smoothly, quite a staple for me in Paris.
