Draught @ Brouwerij de Pelgrim Brewpub, Aelbrechtskolk 12, 3024 Rotterdam-Delftshaven, Netherlands.
Clear medium orange amber color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly - fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, orange, moderate yeasty, overripped plum. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic apple - malt sour, and moderate roasted coffe bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20090601]

Huge lasting yellowy head tops the cloudy light copper hue. Very malty, almost with a wheaty hint underneath. It is an kinda earthy rendition where sandy and gentle leafy bitterness never quite cuts through the cerealic and grainy sweetness. A bit simple as far as its toasty or caramelly subtleties go. More fruitiness would also give it a sense of purpose. A it is, a sweet, honeyed and fizzy bock.

On tap@Pelgrim. Cheesy aroma at first, later on a hint of smoke and caramel. Hazy, orange color, citric, several spices, caramel malts. Sticky and full.

Pretty dark for a spring bock. Clear dark orange/brown color. Smelled like salami or 'leverworst'. Dry malty taste and a dry palate.

On tap. Red-coloured, small head, thin lacing. Malty aroma. Soft, malty, sweet and a bit fruity flavour. Bittersweet finish. By the way my Pelgrim Meibock had 6.8% ABV.

Good tasting Rotterdam beer. Pretty hoppy tasting beer, hoppier than most bock beers.

Caramel and hops in the taste, bit of grapefruit. Hopbitter finish. A very well made beer.
