Commercial Description:
The country ales of France inspire our Fall seasonal beer, Bridal Ale. Bridal Ale was originally brewed in celebration of the wedding of two Pelican staff members, brewer Travis Zeilstra and server Jen Pelletier. This year's edition of Bridal Ale features a deep copper color and a rich, toasted malt character. Subtle floral hints and fruity notes punctuate the aroma, while a slightly sweet malt flavor and warming effect characterize the finish.

On tap at Pelican Pub and Brewery, Pacific City, OR. Deep copper with off white head. Malty aroma. Odd flavour in here. Some odd herb. Some choc. Malty in mouth. The herb/spice isn’t nice though.

750 split with after4ever. Pours a cloudy dark orange amber with a fluffy and lacy off-white head. Creamy medium body and fine carbonation. Fruit, caramel, nuts and cookie dough in the taste. Clean finish with a floral/herbal tang. Nicely balanced.

750; corked and baled. Great stuff. Pours deep orange/amber with a towering white head. Big grass, hay, and a little citrus on the nose. Medium body and medium carb. Nuts--both light and dark--and some herbal hop on the palate. Hollowed-out hops on the finish: clean and dry and satisfying. This is absolutely drinkable and satisfying.

Got a bad bottle of this....absolutely NO carbonation. No noise when taking out the cork. Sad. I want another. Decent even without the carbonation though. Very malty and sweet. I’m still not sure on the ettiquite for rating "off" beers, so I may just delete this.

Sweet, candy-like earthy and herbal nose. Hazy copper-tan coloured body is topped by a decent and lasting, fine bubbled head. Herbal hops over sweet, thick malt flavour with notes of straw and hay and mild bitterness that takes the edge off. Silky smooth texture to the medium body with somewhat low carbonation. Bottle (89/450, bottle Oct-04) sampled at the post-Mondial tasting 2006.

Nice dark amber color, large tan head that had a good hang time then faded slowly to leave a bit of a lcae behind. The aroma was malty and slightly sweet with some hints of citrus maybe and a bit of a hop showing. The flavor was much better then i was expecting.I mean Pelican makes some pretty good brew but this one is very good, nice malty taste with a nice showing of fruit yum the fruit some nice hop notes and a finish that seems to almost be like butter and just melt in your mouth.Very very nice brew makes me wish i had a few more for later, but alas one is all i was given. Many Thanks Bill for the Cellar Key :^)

Cloudy amber pour with floaties and a thin white head. Aroma of husky malt and fruits. The palate is medium and creamy with soft carbonation. This is a decent bière de garde but not much more, it seems to be lacking something in order to be really good.
