Angeloregon (2000), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 18, 2007 Tasted at Clinton Street Brewing in Portland, Oregon--Poured a copper-amber body with a decent white top. Big fresh hops aroma with notes of grapefruit and citrus and some dank notes. Full-flavored, spicy and quite enjoyable. Finished bitter, and fruity. Nice malt spine. Great beer. DA (2468), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Mar 24, 2005 On tap at the Rose and Raindrop. Pours a red/copper, very clear, with a medium white head. Very fresh hop aroma, crisp citrus hops leading me to anticipate a very bitter brew. Taste starts with some caramel malts but quickly finishes strong with a big fresh bitter hop finish and lots of grapefruit notes. This brew finished a bit overly bitter, very crisp, and still a bit green tasting, maybe needs to settle a bit more. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 10, 2005 Dark amber/mahogany with a filmy head and big lace. Herbal and floral nose with big time bubblegum. Bitter and toasty. Bubblegum again in the flavors as well as slightly medicinal. Herbs and bitterness accompany toasted malts. Spicy palate with a fuzzy mouth feel. Hop a plenty finish.
