Nov 3, 2009 Bottle Vintage 2007 Pours out a mahogany topped with a sand head. Aroma was of pit fruits, brown sugar, and some molasses. Taste was more of the sweet dark fruits and sweet chocolate. Nice and thick.

Nov 1, 2009 Bottle @ DLD09. Pours a cliudy dark reddish brown with a thick medium yellowish beige head. The aroma was sweet with a blend of citrus candy and caramel malts. The flavor had ample dark fruitiness, caramel/toffee maltiness all presented with a creamy smooth mouthfeel. Very nice to have tried this one.

Forgot the exact vintage, but it had a few years on it...pours deep ruddy brown with a medium off white head...aroma is massive fruity malt, plum and raisin, brown sugar...flavour is similar, sweet and dark, woody on the end and definitely warming...very tasty...

Aug 27, 2009 Deep mohogany amber hued body with a thin minimal tan head. Big sweet fruit nose. Heavy peach, plum and brown sugar. Thick sweet malt body. Strong molasses character with sweet toffee notes and deep chocolate and light earth and spice. Some tart currant and brown sugar with unusually prominant citrus. Chewy and thick. Very well done, complex and interesting.

Light unclear medium red amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is oxidide malt, earth, wood, berry sour, damped earth, butterscotch. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090501]

Jul 5, 2009 Brown-amber with a bubbly brown head. From first pour, it is evident that this diverges sharply from the usual style. Brown-sugar and molasses strike the nose first. Honts of aged wood and sour cherry notes waft in. Richly flavorful, medium-bodied mouthfeel with multifacted palate of marsala notes, figs and then a caramel and chocolate-cherry finish. Wonderful melody of aromas and flavors lap over the senses. Depths of figs and brown sugar continue to reveal themselves. Sweet sugar-fig finish.

Jun 8, 2009 Looked dark brown with amedium beige head. Aroma was sweet with caramel, overripe fruits, caramel and toffee. Flavour had loads of toffee, caramel, overripe fruits and caramel notes. Finished sweet.
