cmonster (73), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 19, 2009 Bomber served in a Weizen glass. Pale yellow, slightly hazy, with a huge fluffy, white head. Light, wheat nose. Tangy sweet flavor of banana and spice. Crisp and refreshing. I could drink a few of these. Nice Heifer. fakepurseninja (773), Washington, USA Aug 30, 2009 Bready malt body featuring wheat malt character. Golden cloudy straw body with a light thin white head. Spice notes from corriander present along with clove notes and a crisp, grassy hop presence. Obligatory banana hints and soft citrus on the finish. cprochak (388), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2009 On tap at the brewery on 6/27/09. Typical banana and bread aroma, touch of citrus. pours hazy gold with nice white head that didn’t last. Straight up sweetness, with just a touch of bitterness. Nothing special, but a solid brew from a great brewery. beersearcher (204), Glendale, California, USA Jul 5, 2009 Nice clove aroma. Seemed to be a cross between a hefe and a wit. Some of the flavors were working at cross purposes. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Nov 20, 2008 Purchased a 22-oz bomber from the brewery’s internet sales. Pours a semi-clear golden pale brew with an average off-white head that dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of golden grain malt with wheat, some banana and cloves, and some grassy hops. Taste is medium bodied, light in flavor of wheat malt, some banana, and a hint of citrus. Finish is semi-dry with a light grain and banana aftertaste that quickly disappears. Could not detect much orange or coriander in this wit, but as a German Hefe, this is pretty decent. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Oct 11, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a wheat malty citrus aroma with hints of banana. Sweetish wheat malty yeasty citrus flavor with hints of clove and banana. Has a sweetish wheat malty finish with some hints of citrus. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 29, 2008 Courtesy of Skyview. Cloudy yellow color with a thin head. Lots of clove and banana in the aroma. Strong wheat flavor. Cloves and orange dominate. I don’t pick up much coriander, so this strikes me as more of a German Hefe than a Wit, but it’s still very good. MatSciGuy (629), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Sep 27, 2008 [Bottle] shared by Skyview. Pours clear gold with a medium whitish head. Aroma is lots of clove and banana. Flavor is wheat malt, suntan lotion, and a crisp, light fruitiness.
