| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Draft at the Pelican. Light fruit aroma. Pale golden color with a substantial white head. Interesting flavor. Not banana, more of a Belgian Wit. (and look at the style above; not what I expected). Spicey, yeasty, like cardamom and coriander. Makes me think a bit of Fraoch Heather Ale for some reason. Seems to be some citrus peel bitter in the finish, but perhaps it could be hop. Quite unusual. unclemattie (2416), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2006 I enjoyed this beer on the back patio at Pelican Brewpub in Pacific City. Served with an orange wedge. Yellow, a little hazy. tastes of banana and oranges. Thirst quenching and very refreshing. BillKismet (1944), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Was called Organic Heiferweizen at the pub. Light fizzy, yellow-soda appearance w. a ring of head. Wonderful cardamom-citrus plays on the wheat aroma. Musky cardamom flavor, with wheat not apparanet. A decent variation on the witt style. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Ttap - Pelican Brew Pub] A good new version of an old summer style for the Pelcian. Had a good put thebeer is a off golden white very cloudy beer. The head was very light. This was a very light tasting brew. The Orange slice on the side was a good help to bring some life to this brew. It was a very light white ale and had very little to offer for me. The style was right and the flavors where very "Forgein", this was a very good attempt at a Hefe. Good Job Pelicna.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2005 (Draft: Pelican Pub & Brewery in Pacific City, OR) The first stop on my three-week long brewery tour of the Pacific Northwest, and here I am sitting on the deck looking out over the ocean, the sun’s warm rays beaming down on me. Except for the unfortunate lack of scantily clad women on this beach, it reminds me of home in San Diego. Heiferweizen is an unusual beer. The nose is strongly and distinctly like a green leafy spice like sweet basil or oregano, with some wheat in the background. So apparently what I’m smelling is cardamom, a spice I had never heard of until I just read it on the menu. The flavor is very zesty with the spices, the cardamom is very apparent, with hints of orange peel. The wheat almost seems like an afterthought because of the dominance of the spices. This is quite tasty. I’m not sure how "German" this is because there is no bubblegum or banana, just the light lemony citrus and light bitterness from the spices. Light to medium body, but very snappy on the palate. Pale yellow color, somewhat cloudy in appearance, but slightly translucent. White head is small on the pour. A very distinctive and unusual hefeweizen, and I really like their interpretation, although it did take a bit of time to get used to it. beerinmarch (2800), Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazzy yellow with a slight orange tint and a white head. This brew tasted like lemon drop candies, not much wheat showing, with just a faint touch of spiciness from the yeast.
