Beerlando (2280), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2008 Courtesy darkguardian. Pours a clear golden-orange color with a thin, off-white head. Some nice cobweb lacing marks the glass well. Aromas are well balanced, showcasing juicy oranges and perfumey citrus blossoms, as well as clean, toasted bread and light toffee malts. It smells delicately wonderful. Flavors tapered off just a bit, but still impressed. Orange hops reign supreme, but are well integrated with the subtle, clean, lightly sweet malts. Medium-bodied, smooth, and very easy drinking. This is a really nice IPA, and definitely something that I wouldn’t mind substituting my usual Two Hearted for on occasion. cmillward (418), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2008 Bottle @ ORL throwdown, courtesy of darkguardian. Pours a fairly clear amber with a thin head. Big citrusy and floral hops a top sweet malts. Mmm, taste follows suit with big citrusy, grapefruit hops, nice sweetness, and then a strong bitter finish. Good IPA! TheCheeseMan (538), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2008 Courtesy Darkguardian. Pours an almost crystalline, rich yellow. Aroma is very floral, reminding a bit of jasmine or even orange blossoms. Flavor is bright and citrus, full on grapefruit. Very nice beer from a great brewery. douglas88 (1555), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jun 8, 2008 Updated: Jun 9, 2008On tap at the NABA fest in Idaho Falls. Pours a light and clear gold with a thick white head that stays around. The aroma is very attractive; strong floral hops, just tons of Cascade hops, piny and citrus notes. The flavor was quite similar; tons of hops, spicy and sweet, balanced pretty well by a delicate malt flavor. A very good IPA. I have to visit Pacific City soon. hopscotch (5437), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jun 7, 2008 Bottle... SMAACMSM O-Town Throwdown, Part Sept... Clear golden ale with a small, fat-bubbled, white head. The earthy, floral nose also provides a blend of tropical fruits. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Straight-up grapefruit rind-like bitterness. Low residual sugar. Finishes bitter and a touch dry. Thanks to darkguardian for sharing the bottle! pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 4, 2008 6-1-08 bottle shared at tasting
Medium amber yellow pour with a thin head. Smell is oranges, caramel and honey. Flavor is oranges and lemon. Palate is a hint thin and bubbly. Hoppy overall but a bit too mild and underplayed for me. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 4, 2008 Pours a nice orange color and is mostly opaque with a light beige head. Smell is sweet orange malt and light hops, but more malty in the nose. Taste is quite hoppy with big citrusy and bitter orange rind flavor, with malt playing much less than in the smell. Good body and carbonation, and an enjoyable IPA. slimchill (771), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 2, 2008 Bottle. Bright citrus nose, sweet orange. Perfectly clear gold with a thin white head. Very bitter, dry, and harsh. Orange peel dryness, some vague sweet notes. Palate is rough but the flavor is pretty nice.
