Nov 27, 2007 Sharp grapefruit presence with a smoothly bittered malt baseline. MIld, earthly molassas sweetness with a strong pine component but not over the top acid and resin. Looks awfully plain in the glass. Very well constructed drink, hard to find fault.

Nov 26, 2007 Poured a dark gold with little head. Hops, orage, grapfruits right up front from the pour. Has a good amount of malts thrown in to back it up when you take a sip. I’m really liking the finish, a long lasting true orange flavor. Very surprising beer.

Sep 18, 2007 22oz - thanks Yonkers65 - Aroma is strong grapefruit and orange hops with a smooth caramel malt back. Pours dark cloudy orange-brown with a medium head and great lacing, Flavor is back and forth between hops and caramel. Fresh citrus versus earthy hops. Palate is tart and snappy. A very nice IPA

Sep 9, 2007 (from bomber but you MUST go to the brewpub on the beach) golden amber, negligible head but look out nose—hop assault, billowing, mostly citrus but a little pine and almost orange. does not go lightly through the mouth but as clean as so much hope resinance can go. the taste is hihg bitterness maybe balanced by some pine, oak and caramel, intense and beautiful (tho finish a shade heavy)—relentless hoppiness--please let me go! i’m a little masochistic but having two of these in a row would be too much.

Sep 4, 2007 Draft. Amber beer with a nice whitish head. Good grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with backing malts (caramel with a bit of roast and chocolate). Grapefruit and complex malts linger. Medium body. Decent bitterness. Nice beer.

Sep 2, 2007 22oz bottle, courtesy of Yonkers65. Thanks, Bruce! Pours a clear, medium golden-yellow color; white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Dense, resiny citrus hops and passion fruit in the aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: sharp, resiny citrus and orange hop presence dominates here; excellent hop oiliness and chewiness without much astringency (though there’s still a bit of a rough, zippy hop character); light candy sugar maltiness hiding in the background; slightly floral presence opens up with a bit of time in the glass. Lengthy, citrus hop and candy sugar malt finish; fruit and resin-filled ending.

clear dark gold, whispy white head, touch of lace, great sweet citrus and pine aroma, wonder sweet carmel malt flavor, tons of citrus and grapefruit character to balance the sweetness, nice bitter finish
