Bottle: Pours golden color with big sticky white head. Some malt flavor up front but primarily hop bitterness. Pretty high level of bitterness. Some spicy earthy notes, touches of citrusy fruit rinds and most of all strong piney hops flavor and aroma. Finishes dry with lasting hop bitterness.

Clear light amber with a thin, solid head. Hop aroma jumps from the glass - heading more towards the mature, woody US hop end of the spectrum and away from the raw freshness that I know this stuff can have, but it’s there with a similar aroma to that of lupulin glands rubbed on your fingers. Lychees, tangerines and pine all get a run with a touch of that sweetish US malt aroma you get in a lot of these IPAs. The hop flavour seems a little subdued and the malt sweetness comes through reasonably well, but it’s still skewed towards hops. Oily, hand cream hop flavour and icing sugar maltiness followed by a big, aggressive, clean bitterness. Really good, but I’ve had this stuff fresh and it’s even better.

This was a very good IPA. I had it at the brewery in Pacific City. The waitress warned me of the hoppyness, but it was still easy and smooth to drink. Will be asking for friends to bring this to Ohio.

Simply the best IPA the NW has to offer. Very bitter, cutting hops with a strong floral nose. Medium to full body and a subtle malty finish to go with the lingering hops.

Light copper with good head. Big bitter cascade hops in the taste and aroma. LOVE IT. Floral and citrus. The malt is there...but it’s an afterthough, which is just fine with me. Not overaly bitter...just damned good.

Draft at the Pelican. Light amber color with a white head. Citrus hop aroma, perhaps with a hint of pine. Lots of resin. Starts with pine, some backing malt. Medium body. Citrus follows, but for me it’s strongly hop. Nice clean bitter finish. Pine seems to last longest.

22oz bottle. Pours with a light haze and a nice orange color with minimal head. Though the head comes to life as it warms with just a quick swirl of the glass. Sweet aroma with light citrus. Pine with citrus peal notes are predominate in the flavor. Fairly bitter with minimal malt presence. Medium body with a dryish finish. A fair brew.

Taste is wonderfully hop-forward, with lots of floral-citrus and some quality, slightly grainy malts thrown in. Cascades really shine in this baby - one of the best regular IPAs I’ve tried!
