does not count  Jun 19, 2007 Simply the best IPA the NW has to offer. Very bitter, cutting hops with a strong floral nose. Medium to full body and a subtle malty finish to go with the lingering hops.

Jun 10, 2007 Light copper with good head. Big bitter cascade hops in the taste and aroma. LOVE IT. Floral and citrus. The malt is there...but it’s an afterthough, which is just fine with me. Not overaly bitter...just damned good.

Jun 9, 2007 Draft at the Pelican. Light amber color with a white head. Citrus hop aroma, perhaps with a hint of pine. Lots of resin. Starts with pine, some backing malt. Medium body. Citrus follows, but for me it’s strongly hop. Nice clean bitter finish. Pine seems to last longest.

May 21, 2007 22oz bottle. Pours with a light haze and a nice orange color with minimal head. Though the head comes to life as it warms with just a quick swirl of the glass. Sweet aroma with light citrus. Pine with citrus peal notes are predominate in the flavor. Fairly bitter with minimal malt presence. Medium body with a dryish finish. A fair brew.

May 10, 2007 Updated: Jan 6, 200822 oz bottle from SamuraiArtist.Golden-amber color with a rather large white head. Aroma is packed with crisp, clean citrusy-hop goodness. Taste is wonderfully hop-forward, with lots of floral-citrus and some quality, slightly grainy malts thrown in. Cascades really shine in this baby - one of the best regular IPAs I’ve tried!

May 1, 2007 An amazing exercise in hop flavour, bitterness and balance. This beer would be unpalatable to most of your average beer drinkers but they have done a fantastic job in packing in the IBUs without harshness and with balance.

Mar 28, 2007 22oz bottle. paired perfectly with pizza after a rough day at work. pours orange-amber with fully white head. the color and head are ideal to me for this style, so a perfect 5. nose is exploding with juicy grapefruit hop aroma. flavor is very bitter, more like a double ipa, and a wonderful piney hop flavor and caramel. body is a tad thin but the palate is long and solid. this could be the best (single) ipa i’ve ever had.

does not count Mar 16, 2007 Bottle pours a deep, rich gold with thick head. Hop aroma is off the charts; like I just stuck my face in a bale of wet hops. Incredible. Sweet/bitter balance is robust and impeccable, as well as accompanies a full body. Lots of citrus here with notes of pine. Easily my favorite IPA at the moment and the one I recommend the strongest.
