Pours a bright bronze/orange color with tiny rising bubbles and a medium white fluffy head. Nice lacing streaks the glass. Big citrusy hops aroma. Medium-bodied with an excellent hops flavor. Citrus and a bit of malt and herb flavors are very well-balanced. The finish retains the flavorful hops throughout. This is probably the best "regular" IPA I have had, beating out even Alesmith and Buckeye Hippie IPA. Excellent! oldno7 (137), Spokane, Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 25, 2005 Clear golden pour offering a medium sized white head. Well this smells pretty much like what I remember from two hearted ale! Full on centennial nose with the characteristic earthy ripe orange smell with perfumey and citrusy backings. The crystal malts underneath are obviously dwarved and kept silent, barely hinting at candies and offering support mouthfeel. It is all about the spicy hops and I must say it is well done at that, very aromatic, without any out of place acidity nor too plain west coast aromatics, I assume the sample was particularly fresh. Peppery, perfumey, sweet fruits. Engaging carbonation and crisp mouthfeel helped as well. Classic. doubleipa (224), Georgia, USA

Wonderful hazy orange appearance with a decent head. Serving temperature was just right. An exceptional grapefruit smell that matched the wonderful hoppy taste. Hop taste lasts throughout, but also a distinct malteness. I could drink this beer all day. Unfortunately I didn’t have any room left to bring some bombers back to Atlanta. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden

This was one of my favorites of the GABF weekend. Great balance all around from sniff to swallow. Plenty of lively eff to keep the palate clean. Huge IPA with thick and chewy malts, tropical fruit sweetness, lots of citrus and especially grapefruit. Sticky dry finish. Finish is long, citrus, wheatgrass. Just outstanding. I drank far too much of this goodness. The combination of peppery spice, grassy, plus citrusy hops is irresistible to me. ante (2928), Stockholm, Sweden

A rich flowery and grassy aroma. Despite the high BU and aroma it is quite well balanced in the malts area. Long aftertaste.
