Sickly sweet Cascade citrus hop aroma. Some malty sweetness in the immediate nose, but such is crushed by Cascade flavors, predominately citrusy early on fading into a resinous character. Very resinous texture. Cloying bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is rather full for an ipa. jackamackson (127), USA

Pours bright copper/orange color with a filmy head with a ring of bubbles. Spotty lacing. Aroma was huge citrus, mostly orange and grapefruit, nice malt backbone. Flavor again tons of citrus, plenty of residuel hop esters. Not a whole lot of malt shows in the flavor profile, but doesn’t seem unbalanced at all. Hop aftertaste lingers quite awhile. Well done. jgseley (7), California, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 3, 2005 Enjoy it on the deck looking out at the Pacific after a day on the waves or just enjoying the beach. Few beers have been more enjoyable.
