maxa9 (20), , Washington, USA Mar 25, 2009 Bomber, purchased at Belmont Station. Snifter. Pours reddish gold. Big fluffy head. Good lacing. Spicy hop aromas. Flavor is big, strong, and bitter. This tastes more like a DIPA, which must be why I like it so much. This beer has a heavy feel to it. Not watery. Light on the carbonation. arrogantb (694), Denver, Colorado, USA Mar 24, 2009 22oz bottle courtesy of vwcraig, thank you sir. Bright orange color, decent lacing but a short head. This smells malty with a bit of spicy fruit. The flavor is crazy like flowers with a bit of bitter at the finish. This was cool but either I had an older bottle or this needs more hops...

Reviewed on: 03-12-2009 23:36:44 HonkeyBra (1257), Lemont, Illinois, USA Mar 18, 2009 Found a bottle of this at Sam’s in Downers. Sticky orange pour with white head that dissipates into a sticky white film. Aroma is bitter with some citrus, some sugar cookie. Flavor is big and bitter. Almost like straight hop resin. Pretty excellent IPA. Doesn’t disappoint. NobleSquirrel (1094), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 11, 2009 Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours a clear copper color with a sticky/soapy head. Nose is quite resiny with some orange coming through. Nice and slippery mouthfeel. Taste doesn’t have much citrus, more of a floral woodiness coupled with more resin. Pretty big and a very good IPA. Nice. HighWine (163), , California, USA Mar 11, 2009 Clear copper color with good lacing. Floral, citrus nose. Excellent mouthfeel -- very full bodied on the palate. Taste is floral and citrusy like the nose but then Cascade bitterness moves in and lingers. I noticed that the bitterness becomes less prominent after a few sips. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Jan 26, 2009 This amber ale poured with a fluffy off-white head and a fruity aroma. This is one hoppy beer, with lots of citrus notes and a very bitter finish. If you’re a hophead you will love this. Otherwise, its’s a bit too bitter. Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 22, 2009 Updated: Feb 13, 2009In short: An intense and absurdly hoppy IPA. Very tasty, very bitter, totally unbalanced and very very good.
How: Bottle 22oz, tasting session with Montreal crew
The look: Clear dark golden orange body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Intense hoppy nose lying somewhere between pine-tree and citrus/orange fruits. Taste is even more intense that the nose. This is one hoppy IPA. The light sugary malts make a short appearance before being taken over by a truckload of hops that are resinous, fruity and foresty (pine-tree and cedar). Bitterness is intense and sharp and the finish is very long. I usually prefer my IPAs with more than just a hop smack in the mouth but despite its lack of malt character this one really worked for me. About as balanced as an overweight drunken redneck on a rodeo bull.
pjweaver (133), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 Tulip. Thanks to the girlfriend during her Pacific NW trip. :) Golden orange pour with an off white head. Looks great in the glass. Citrus hop aroma, with some floral, grapefruit, orange. Bitter smooth on the tongue, with the same flavors as the aroma would hint at. Smooth acidic palate, nice and tangy. Great beer.
