mrhoppy (208), Santa Clara, California, USA Dec 18, 2008 If your a hop head you will love it. It puts you in that Hoppy place. Thick foamy lace that stays.Clear copper orange color. Aroma floral hoppy rose petals. The kind of smell that puts a smile on your face. You want to keep under you nose and trans port you to all the pleasant places you have been. Great balance and malt like a meal. Top 10 beer. Stinky sticky and delicious. Like sex in a bottle. tytoanderso (1381), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Dec 7, 2008 22oz bottle. Short rating... citrusy and malty nose. Malt seems to dominate over the hops. Bready. Bright orange/gold. Big white head leaving sticky lacing. Balanced flavor. Hops remain in check over the doughy and crusty malt. Some pine and citrus rind. Quite crisp. Snappy on the tongue. Refreshing even if a bit stale. Thanks Jake! Swolf3 (252), Elkton, Maryland, USA Oct 31, 2008 Bottle thanks to AmEricanBrew. Poured a golden color with a big white frothy head. Aroma is pine, hops, and sweet. Taste is pine, floral, and malt. GMCC2181 (844), Bear, Delaware, USA Oct 31, 2008 Bottle shared by wolf... Orange in color, ok head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit and hops. Taste is super bitter, grapefruit. Even though it is malty it is a little off balanced. I am a hophead but its to much. It is a still a good beer. Medium texture. Just an average IPA... Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 18, 2008 This beer strikes me as strange in that the aroma is massively hoppy but the hops are so well concealed in the flavor that I barely notice them despite it being 80 IBUs. Such a smooth drink, very grapefruity but not in a cloying way. One of my very favorite IPAs. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Oct 18, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours clearish orange amber with a moderate size white head, some lace. Smells nicely balanced with some slightly resiny, citrus hops up front and a solid, slightly sweet, cereal malt backbone. Tastes nicely balanced as well. Nice citrusy hops up front with some slightly nutty, sweet malts on the finish, coats the mouth a bit. Medium body, good carbonation. theisti (1637), Leawood, Kansas, USA Oct 16, 2008 22 oz bottle graciously shared by csbosox. Pour is cloudy orange ruby, with a one inch slightly off white head. Aroma of sticky pine hops, some earthy hay. Taste is caramelly, piney, resiney hops balanced with a nice malt backbone. Bright, bitter, taste. Palate is coating, with bitterness that lingers. Nice IPA. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Oct 9, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a malty hoppy citrus aroma.
