Fresh, rich hops - grapefruit, pine needles and wood mix with toffee and breadcrust. Dry, substantial body but never resiny nor cloying. Outstanding example. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 3, 2002 I remembered this brewery from the GABF, and I had to try it again. This beer has a golden body, with a nice head that clings to the glass. Nice citrus hoppy aroma. The flavor is dry and very hoppy, but there’s enough malt to prevent imbalance. Good bitter aftertaste. Overall, a very good IPA. harrisoni (6800), Ashford, Kent, England

Lots of hop on aroma. Quite perfumed. Quite harsh hop. Harsh Cascade hop aroma. Bit of grapefruit. Moderate malts to give it some backbone and then strong hop finish that verges on the sharp. Very drying on the palate. TBone (6788), Pori, Finland

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2008 It’s like pouring liquid amber into the glass - it’s incredibly beautiful, and the image is completed by the huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of spruce, grass and other more fruity and citrussy hop notes - it’s promising! The flavour has a light caramel sweetess, delicious notes of citrus, spruce, grass and it’s very clean. The citrus returns in the rather dry finish! Nice and well balanced - thank you Tom/After4ever for this nice beer! hopdog (5590), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 25, 2005 Clear golden pour offering a medium sized white head. Well this smells pretty much like what I remember from two hearted ale! Full on centennial nose with the characteristic earthy ripe orange smell with perfumey and citrusy backings. The crystal malts underneath are obviously dwarved and kept silent, barely hinting at candies and offering support mouthfeel. It is all about the spicy hops and I must say it is well done at that, very aromatic, without any out of place acidity nor too plain west coast aromatics, I assume the sample was particularly fresh. Peppery, perfumey, sweet fruits. Engaging carbonation and crisp mouthfeel helped as well. Classic.
