From the bottle 7 months later. Great color, aroma, and flavor! It holds up like a champ. More of a lingering bitterness than I remembered. Good IPA. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2003 Aroma excited me as I recall, strong hops, fruity notes. Malt is surprisingly nothing as I was hoping for, as dry grapefruit dominates and hops are overwhelming. Not nearly enough malt complexity to balance out the hops (IPAs across the world, take note, as this seemed to be a reoccuring problem at the RAF). Very hoppy, crisp, dry finish. This beer won the Gold medal for best Amercian beer at the whole damn festival. I don't see it, and I am kickass. arrogantb (701), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2009 22oz bottle courtesy of vwcraig, thank you sir. Bright orange color, decent lacing but a short head. This smells malty with a bit of spicy fruit. The flavor is crazy like flowers with a bit of bitter at the finish. This was cool but either I had an older bottle or this needs more hops...

Pours from bomber rather a hazy orange that settles down. Nice foamy head, lacing is terrific. Aroma of pungent pine resins, grapefruits and wet forrest. Flavour was explosive, hop hammer bitterness delight! Pine resins, hops, caramels malts and grapefruit. One helluva IPA, would love to try it on tap. WOW! miketd (679), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 25, 2008 Bottle from Hannot. Thanks Todd! Pour is clear copper with a nice, white head. Great initial lacing. Much grassy, spicy hop aroma. Flavor is pretty subtle...nice, citrusy hops and good malt backing. Fairly sweet. Good body and very nice. Good thirst quencher. Better than solid and needs a re-visit for sho! juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Bomber courtesy seabass. Pours a bright golden orange color topped by a thin, off white head that leaves spots of lace behind on the glass. The aroma leans to the juicy citrus hop side with orange and grapefruit showing strong atop the toasted toffee malt backbone. The flavors follow suit with grapefruit and orange bitterness up front and then balanced nicely by the sweet toffee malts. The hops leave a pleasing bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied and smooth and pretty easy to drink with a lingering bitter citrus finish. Really nice ipa that I wish we could get. GermanBrews76 (667), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 5, 2004 thin, dissipating white head. little carbonation. intense amber body. smells like great weed. citrucy, piney, resinous, hints of mint and apple, definitely mt hoods and cascades, perhaps centennial or chinooks too maybe? Suggestions of pale and crystal malts. classic PNW IPA. front is bitter and intense, foolowed and underlied by a disinct creaminess. some sticky bitterness remains, but cleans up pretty well.
