Nice aroma and flavor of grapefruit, spruce and pine. Intense, palate-wrecking quality bitterness. Hops overpower a bit, but take you for a fun ride.

Light copper color with a medium head. Nice orange and grapefruit aroma. Powerfully strong citrus taste with orange be the dominant one. Not much balance with the malt, but it isn’t so over the top that it’s pure hop juice. Very nice! GermanBrews76 (667), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Suggestions of pale and crystal malts. classic PNW IPA. front is bitter and intense, foolowed and underlied by a disinct creaminess. some sticky bitterness remains, but cleans up pretty well. Thanks to Niko for being the beer-mule via the ferries. Great, bright, lively orange nose. Very pine and citrus with an resin elixir, oily finish. Bit orange and pine hops gives way to the ABV and sweet malts. Very enjoyable. 8/4/8/4/15 BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2004 Light cherry gold color, crimson edges if you will, lots of sticky lacing & good head retention. The aroma is full of fresh grapefruit & floral cascade hoppy notes; very fresh. The flavor has a nice piney mouthfeel like hop juice & a nice granola sweet malt finish. Well balanced, good body, good IPA. VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2002 Hazy golden peach. Thin tiny bubbled off white head. Light carbonation. Juicy Cascades aroma, some spruce, gummy notes and hints of caramel. Initially soft and hoppy with a crispness in the background. Mellow natured. Medium body. Not very thick. Resinous hop flavors with a long spruce covered grapefruit rind aftertaste. Malts gain as it sits and acclimates. Toasty sweet. Almost has a honey-herbal cough drop aroma and flavor arise as it warms. Interesting. Finishes thicker with an increase in spruce notes and a lessening of Cascade notes. Drier, more bitter. Not a hugely hoppy, aromatic or over the top IPA, just a hopheads sessional. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

Sharp grapefruit aroma and flavor with a clean finish. These hops really are very clean, remind me a bit of the LaConner IPA. There is a quick glimpse of sweetness on the back of the toungue, but it is quickly washed away by waves of hoppiness. A true hop head’s delight!
