Caramel malt, floral, sweet malt, and flowers. Flavor was really bitter for the style. An earthy bitterness in the finish. Citrus and floral as well. Some decenet caramel backbone. Pretty resinous. A light sweetness. Flavor is really bitter for me. Hop bomb. Maybe a bit too much. stetzel (22), portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2009 Clear copper color with good lacing. Floral, citrus nose. Excellent mouthfeel -- very full bodied on the palate. Taste is floral and citrusy like the nose but then Cascade bitterness moves in and lingers. I noticed that the bitterness becomes less prominent after a few sips. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA

Taste was well balanced with a tons of bitterness toward the end and a faint hint of grapefruit in the finish. A good smooth IPA. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2003 A bemused deep amber color, the head is planetary in size, spumescent in texture, a winsome light beige in color and after desiccation, a thick glutinous sheet is left behind to hide the glass. Sweet floral aroma dominates the nose, citrus crisp and fresh, quite a treat to the olfactory senses with a thickly malt sweet start, the top a bit thin for my liking. Finish has a delectable hop spiciness, the acidity tolerable, quite dry and the hop bitterness stays to the very end, a middle of the road IPA, and quite drinkable.

Super lychee/grapefruit/pine, very decent bitterness to complement the rich flavour, yummy!! JPDIPSO (4906), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2006 Light amber color with a small but stable and soft off-white head. Pale malts smeared with citric marmalade. LIght sweet floral aromas in the backdrop. Fairly heavy in feel. Somewhat grainy sweetness with loads of mildly citric hops. Gets quite bitter and sharp the deeper one gets with this one. Finish is near burning of green hops with a sharp bitterness. A touch more balance throughout would be welcome for me.
