My first experience was a bottle I bought in Portland which I gave a 7 4 6 4 16. It had a rich big hopped bitter mouthful with some malty sweetness. A few days later I visited the brewpub and was blown away. It had an amazing intense almost piercing hop aroma that carried into the flavor in waves of fresh bright sunlight. Damn it was good. The brewpub is right on the ocean with a fantastic view to compliment their wonderful beers. 123456green (46), houston, Texas, USA

Taste of major hops with perfect balance of malts. Finish is crisp and very delightful. Thanks to Frielock!! hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA

Simply beautiful. Nose of citrus hops and fruits, with hints of pine. A treat for the nose. Mouthfeel is medium bodied but very smooth. Flavor is a good as the aroma, with much of the same great hops. Long light bitter finish makes this one of the easiest drinking IPAs I have ever seen. A simply wonderful brew and darn I only had one bottle. Got to get more. mjbennett (3), Springfield, Oregon, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 12, 2004 A big hop monster of a beer 70+ IBUs. It’s got a great malty sweetness and a wonderful (classic PNW) Cascade/Centennial hop flavor and aroma. The hops do tend to coat your tongue though. jgseley (7), California, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 3, 2005 Enjoy it on the deck looking out at the Pacific after a day on the waves or just enjoying the beach. Few beers have been more enjoyable. fgfats (10), Portland, Oregon, USA

Good carbonation and a pillowy off white head. Creamy, malty taste at first, but the hops definitely take over in the middle, making the biggest impression here. The finish is hop dominated, but some residualy malty sweetness lingers on for some balance. Quite a nice IPA. Not quite one of those super powered Imperials that everyone seems to be brewing lately. THis is well made and one of the better IPA’s I’ve had in some time. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Rating is from cask - Golden yellow amber, lots of bubbles drifting slowly down the glass. Very sweet peach aroma. Wonderfully hoppy aroma. Smooth and creamy first taste, then quite full, with only a little bitterness. Finishes without the common bitterness, and remains smooth throughout the drink. Easily one of the best cask beers I’ve ever had, and an outstanding IPA on it’s own as well.
