Pours clear orange-amber, dense slightly off-white head with moderate retention. HUGE sweet malt and floral hop aromas, caramelized sugar and sweet tree fruit. Palate develops a ton of spicy hops and sweet malt with some brown sugar character to boot, long spicy hop finish. Delightful warm, rich mouthfeel with even carbo. One of the best of the Pacific Northwest IPAs.

On tap at the brewery on 6/27/09. Beautiful. gold with bubbly white head. A slam of hops in the nostrils dominated by grapefruit and orange. Incredibly smooth and balanced with a nice dry finished. This is what every straight up IPA should aspire to be.

Bomber served in a tulip. Golden honey in color with a pillowy off-white head. Big nose of pine and sweet citrus. Pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, orange, and a good deal of malt in the form of caramel. The attack has a sharp, hoppy bite with a bitterness that holds through the finish. Medium body. Creamy and very sticky mouthfeel. Excellent brew!

I must say Phil the Pelican is on to a good beer here. I get very little aroma off of this beer, the little I get is understated and piney. The flavor is pine, herbal and resiny hops with a little malt character. The finish is nice, a little pine and alcohol, delicious.

22oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange color with a smallish white head. Aroma is huge citrusy cascade hops, orange and grapefruit over a very nice bready maltiness. Flavor is huge cascade hops up front balanced nicely with a bready caramel maltiness in the middle and finishes off with huge bitter sprucey hops. Very nice!

(from bomber but you MUST go to the brewpub on the beach) golden amber, negligible head but look out nose—hop assault, billowing, mostly citrus but a little pine and almost orange. does not go lightly through the mouth but as clean as so much hope resinance can go. the taste is hihg bitterness maybe balanced by some pine, oak and caramel, intense and beautiful (tho finish a shade heavy)—relentless hoppiness--please let me go! i’m a little masochistic but having two of these in a row would be too much.

Bomber. Pours a beautiful clear orange with a creamy white head and huge lacing. Big citrus hop aroma in front of subtle floral notes. Nicely balanced flavors of citrus, floral, sweet carmel malts, and piney notes. Medium and oily mouthfeel. Nice lingering bitterness. IPA or Imperial IPA? Either way, each swallow is worth savoring!

Floral aromas with hints of honey, and maple sugar. Opaque orange color with bubbly off white head. Flavor is sweet initially changing to a salty pretzel like flavor in the middle with a lightly bitter pine finish. Very nice and solid creamy palate. Some smokiness in the flavor, along with sweet notes of caramel and sugar. Bitterness is well balanced and flavorful. Hits the right notes for me.
