Bottle (with a "10" on the cap) thanks to DA. Pours with a beautiful, crystal clear amber-orange body and a large, fluffy white head. Some good lacing. Aroma of citrus cascade, a bit fruity, pine and dank, with fresh bread dough notes in the back ground with a tinge of fresh clover honey. Taste is bread, followed by a lot of floral and then bitter hops, and a good bit of crystal malt. Prickly carbonation. I need more from these guys!

Thanks to Bob for the bomber.. 2008, I believe. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a creamy, sticky, well-retained cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up pine, floral, and earthy hoppage over pale and caramel maltage.. the hops appeared to be muted, but it was still well balanced. The flavor found toffee and pale malts at the core, along with the faintest hit of fruit.. with earthy and floral bitterness plus mild oxidation around.. peppery hops plus a little more of that oxidation on the finish. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. spicy with a moderate overall level of bitterness.. felt good, but not great.

22oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange color with a smallish white head. Aroma is huge citrusy cascade hops, orange and grapefruit over a very nice bready maltiness. Flavor is huge cascade hops up front balanced nicely with a bready caramel maltiness in the middle and finishes off with huge bitter sprucey hops. Very nice!

Light unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, pine, orange. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy peel bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090922]

Light caramel hue, clean body, strong dense white head, great lacing, beautiful in the stein. Tropical hop aroma, mango and orange. Wow! Really? Wow. Spicy and citrusy indeed. Black pepper, lemon/lime, zesty with a crunchy earthy finish.

Bomber courtesy seabass. Pours a bright golden orange color topped by a thin, off white head that leaves spots of lace behind on the glass. The aroma leans to the juicy citrus hop side with orange and grapefruit showing strong atop the toasted toffee malt backbone. The flavors follow suit with grapefruit and orange bitterness up front and then balanced nicely by the sweet toffee malts. The hops leave a pleasing bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied and smooth and pretty easy to drink with a lingering bitter citrus finish. Really nice ipa that I wish we could get.

Pours a clear amber with some bubbles streaming up from the bottom and feeding a thick creamy beige head that leaves excellent lacing and lingers as a cap for the duration. There’s no mistaking the big citrus aroma from the Cascade hops - pineapple and grapefruit come to mind. There is a sweet and lightly toasted beady malt aroma in the background. The taste is more of the Cascade goodness with a big wallop of hop bitterness right up front. The bitterness is barely balanced by the malty backbone before the huge biting pine and grapefruit hop presence leaves a tingling bitterness on the tongue after each sip. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with strong carbonation, but the flavors are so big that the lighter mouthfeel doesn’t take away from the beer. In fact, it makes the drinkability much higher than a fuller bodied beer with the same bitterness profile. A top-notch West Coast IPA.

Orangish color, light head. Christmas tree hops! Flavor is citrus and pine trees. Light caramel notes too. Good IPA. Pelican is a solid brewery.
