cprochak (388), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2009 On tap at the brewery on 6/27/09. As it was described to me, this was exactly what I expected. Interesting balance of grapefruit citrus and vanilla aroma with underlying bready/yeast aroma. Typical belgian fruity funky sweetness up front with a balanced bitter finish that left me thinking I just drank an IPA. Very complex and a Belgian IPA is not a style I plan to indulge in often, but this was a great development by Pelican. Aroma: A different Belgian and IPA mixed aroma.
Appearance: Amber in color, hazy with a thin head.
Flavor: The flavor was more of a IPA with a light mixing of Belgian yeast flavor fruity and sweet.
Palate: Dry finish, with a Good IPA Mouthfeel.
Overall: Interesting beer to add Belgian flavors to The beer was fresh and tasty this will develops well when it warms up. Very tasty Belgian IPA.
