Commercial Description:
Golden-hued and medium-bodied, Nestucca ESB features a floral, herbal aroma character balanced with a toffee-like toasted malt flavor. A tangerine-and-pineapple-like fruitiness merges with caramel flavors and a clean, hoppy finish to make this beer both refreshing and full of character. Dry hopped with Goldings hops for an even bigger fresh hop aroma!!

Tap@Pelican Brewpub. Mine was under the name "ESB". A simple ESB. Orange rind, resiny hops, medium bitter, tastes English. OK

Clear orange golden hue. Very light aroma, musty and fruity. Taste is very bitter at first, more subtle over the tongue, with wood and nut tones. Harsh but dull bitterness, without balance at the end. Cinammon and spice tones within the finish are nice.

Little to no head or lacing. Filtered bourbon look. The aroma is weak, faint, some nutty malt, almost no hops there but just enough to make it not seem so sweet. The flavor has a weird off-note of metal & mud, hard to describe. The finish is weak, forgetful.

on tap at the brewery. deep amber appearance, authentically flat. aroma of orange tea, quite firm, lightly metallic with some orange blossom floral hops in the finish and decent bitterness. i will always remember my visit to pacific "city" as the first time i ever saw a portaloo on the beach

On tap at the brewery. This was a nice ESB, pouring a clear copper with a smooth white head. Lots of hops give a big floral aroma. The citrus hops balance out the beer against the toasty herbal malts with a light fruitiness.

(Cask) This was a really delicious and smooth, somewhat sweet malty ESB. Has a wonderful fragrant hop aroma. Rich toasted maltiness, with some caramel sweetness and apple skin fruitiness.

Sampled at 2007 Blooms & Brews Beer Festival. THis one pours a clear amber, nose is vanilla. medium body with an earthy hoppy, crisp finish. Not bad.
