Oct 5, 2009 Copper red. Alcohol nose with some breadyness. Very sweet caramel flavour with hints of dark fruit. Pleanty of alcohol again. Nice, but doesn’t quite have the goods on other barley wines I have tried.

Oct 2, 2009 Dr. Bill Tasting - Falling Rock - GABF 2009: Reddish amber color with thin ring of suds. Nose of alcoholic nicely oxidized malt with a background of apricot notes. Flavors were like bitter ribbon candy...like aged maltiness and newly created hoppiness. a bit hot.

Aug 23, 2009 Bottle. Deep amber-red pour with a thin dense light tan head. Aroma-wise, a bit less complex than the 2007 - more of a sweet malt and alcohol show. The taste was hoppier and still had its edges as compared to the 2007. Still a damn good barleywine though.

Jun 24, 2009 Rudy red pour with brown head and lace. Aroma of dates, raisins, toasted malt, and brown sugar. Flavor is molasses and dates and a very nice abv warmth. Medium full bodied beer with very good carbonation. Nice.

Jun 19, 2009 @Pilsner Petes East Coast Gathering-22oz bottle–pours a tan head that laces and amber/brown color. Aroma is brown sugar-medium malt, dark fruit-raisin/plum. Taste is brown sugar-medium malt, dark fruit-raisin/plum, some hops/alcohol bite. Nice, big. Thanks rciesla for sharing.

Jun 14, 2009 Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Ratebeer Gathering. Big brash aroma. Chewy sweet malts, caramel and dried fruit. Rich cherry fruitiness and a long lingering hoppy/fruity finish.
