Commercial Description:
Munich and various roasted malts give it a very malty, rich flavor with a hint of burnt flavor. 100% imported Hallertau hops, moderate bitterness and aroma.

This would have been so much better with some body. It just seemed really thin. Decent bread flavors, but they just don’t linger long.

re-rate. Poured a dark brown/black hue with a thin tan head. Aroma was very malty , bread and some sweetness. The flavor was similar to the aroma. Beer was still pretty thin which was my complainant the first time i rated.

Pretty average dark lager, a bit thin in the body, a bit thin in the flavors as well, light malt profile, not balanced all that well, not much going on with this one

How this beer ended up #14 as Men’s Journal Top 25 Beers in America, I’ll never know. Taste was medium bodied. Taste has a light smokiness to it and a light sweetness. Not much else for me to say but it’s worth trying.

I was expecting much more from this beer. Maybe my rating is lower because I had it following a Great Lakes Elliot Ness (an amazing beer) and it just didnt measure up. It has a nice dark appearance, but the flavor is definitely lacking. It claims to have hops in it, but i couldnt taste them at all. Wish i would have bought something else.

Pours dark brown/burgundy with malt, toffee, and brown sugar aromas. Tastes and finishes malty, with some sweetness and caramel at the finish.

This easy drinking dunkel is dark brown/red bodied and has a little too much carbonation. Bread, roast, some chocolate and burnt sugar in the malts, very low hop presence here, but that's allright this time.

Perfect Clear deep orange color. Tan luffy head. Looks rather inviting. Malty Munich bread aroma. malty munich flavor, with a touch of chocolate. Unfortunately, the palate is not smooth and creamy, and the malt flavor dies rather quickly. This could be better, and maybe changes to the mash profile can improve things a bit.
