Very roasted tasting, approaching burnt. Interesting palate, nice texture, you taste it on different parts of your tounge.

12oz Bottle - Florida Trip ABC Store.
Aroma – Dark roasty malt aroma very light with the hops and spices.
Appearance – Dark brown in color, light head and clear.
Flavor – Decent dark lager flavor with a nice touch of dark malts with some caramel flavoring.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, decent texture with a nice dry finish.
Overall – A very nice Dark lager with some nice flavors. This was one of the better dark lagers I have had. Not bad considering I flew it back from Florida.

12oz. bottle. Pretty dry tasting, but it is drinkable. Good roast flavors....it does need more sweetness though to be a beer I would buy on a regular basis.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of rasins, malt, toffee and nuts. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong nutty flavours up front with some milder malt taste and a bit of toffee - not much else. Aftertaste shows a little sour grapes, but aside from that - more nuts and toffee. Overall, a decent beer, nothing special - if you have the choice, drink their wheat and pass on this. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 26-May-2008.

BoTM, dark brown, clumpy off white head, not much on the nose. Roasted malt, medium flavor, somewhat bland but enjoyable.

Wonderful beer. Glad I ordered this. Went to a new restaurant with my wife today, it was really a nice place. It was an Italian joint and they had a huge wine list. So I was like "What kind of beers do you have?" Turns out they have a good list of beers too. I went with this because I’d never had it before. Poured a dark brown with practically no head. My wife had a pepsi, and this was a couple shades darker than the pepsi. Smelled of roasted malts and earth, tasted much the same though a little more pronounced with the malty taste. Great mouthfeel, went down smooth with no unpleasant aftertaste or dryness. Really glad I tried it, I’ll be trying this one again in the future. Went great with the porterhouse steak. a textbook dunkel from penn brewing co, the appearance is dark brown with brownish head. it has caramel aroma and a flavor that is distinctly munich malt. a light session brew with a moderate mixing of roasted barley, caramel and munich malt, quite enjoyable.

Draught at the WBF in Raleigh. Brown-red appearance, with a hint of sugary-caramel in aroma. Flavor is similar, with maybe even a tad of chocolate. Overall, a watery finish, and very unimpressive.
