| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 30, 2008 12oz from a beer club. It’s anonymous in many ways. Looks the part, with a dark ruby/brown body, some crisp carbonation, etc. But it’s quite thin and has very little distinctive flavor going on, with a generic malt profile and zero complexity. Not offensive, but very blah. thegreenrooster (1846), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is deffinatly sweet malt with a touch of roastyness. Flavor is again all malts with a bit of caramel left on the tounge after the swallow. Average to fair at best. truegen (165), Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Mar 25, 2008 12oz. bottle from a beer club. Dark, reddish brown with just a little bit of haze. Decent head fades quickly to a ring, leaving some lace. Caramel/toffee nose. Very thin on the palate. Picks up a little more character as it warms, but it really isn’t enough to make me like this beer. robbmotiwalla (50), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 23, 2008 Bottle; always thought that I had previously rated this. Poured a red hued brown with a light brown head. Not much head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Some fruit and yeasty notes. Flavor was about what you would expect for the style, but probably a bit below average. Almost watery on the palate. Didn’t like the finish too much; abbreviated and not great tasting; almost chalky. posikyle (165), Alabama, USA
