The_Beer_God (2798), Newport News, Virginia, USA Mar 7, 2008 Bottle. Strong golden pour with a small white head. Nose is grassy hops, buttery malts, light bready notes, soft honey and some metal. Taste is grassy hops, straw, cereal, yeast and buttery malts. Hint of honey comes through here too. Body is medium with a fairly strong and bubbly carbonation. Ends with more cereal, yeast, grass, straw and floral hops. Malts fade here as does the honey. Bit more bitter during the finish than the flavor as a whole.
MaltDawg (221), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 14, 2008 12oz brown bottle Total Wine. Light pale malt aroma with some citrus. Slightly cloudy light straw with fine white head.
Grainy light malt flavor with touch of spicey hops. Light body with clean dry finish with a bit of bitterness lingering. Nice clean light lager. cking (709), North Canton, Ohio, USA Jun 9, 2008 Good authentic German Helles, it delivers as a well made lager. Crisp, grassy aroma that is lightly sweetened and backed by fresh noble hops. Clear golden, straw yellow pour with a fluffy, bright white head and thick lacing. Mouth feel is airy and crisp. Very fresh with a nice hop bitterness. Grainy, pale malt, light bodied. Peppery-grassy hops, fairly prominent in the flavor. Great summer quencher, an everyday lager. Guinness4Duff (408), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA May 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a mildly cloudy gold color with healthy white head. Has a light hop aroma and taste, a little lemon essence as well. Not my favorite style, but its drinkable. jjuf1853 (175), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Apr 22, 2008 Bottle pours a clear pale gold color with minimal white head. Aroma is slightly sweet with malts, grains, and grasses. Flavor is light, crisp, and refreshing, but overall not a lot of substance, but some hops presence. Schroppfy (1724), Ohio, USA Apr 10, 2008 Aroma is killer - grassy, sunshiny, clean. A little acidic on top of the excellent hay, honey and crisp hop finish. This is a delightful quaffable beer - what malted barley and hop are upposduh be about. Jeez. I could drink a million of these.
