750 ml bottle. Body is a slightly hazy, light gold with a medium-sized fluffy head. Aromas are kind of boozy with hints of grass, lemon and mild cloves and white pepper. Flavor is very spicy for a pilsner… a lot of white pepper and lemon grass to pull things along and keep them interesting. Flavor is remarkably full, yet remains dry, crisp and refreshing. Has an almost citrus peel bitterness to the aftertaste, which makes you want a little more. Certainly one of the better pilsners I’ve had in a while.

750ml bottle, uncorked. Cloudy light golden-yellow color, with a nice moderate head. Judging from the slight rust marks around the bottle cap, I’d assume this one isn’t hyper fresh. Nonetheless, it is certainly still on point. Lemony eastern-euro pils aroma. Fully agree with JJPM74, there is some apple flavor in there. It’s good, but so light and sessionable that I think it should be sold in 6-packs, not 750s. Very true to style, like most Penn beers. Light yeasty notes, very well balanced.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells of dry malt, pepper, straw. Tastes appley and sweet with a peppery finish.

Bottle. Aroma of lemon, leafy and perfumy hops, earthy malt. Flavor has strong edges of bitterness around the semi-sweet, pale, lightly earthy malt. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours a clear very pale yellow with a foamy white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of light sweet fruits, wheat malt, and grassy hops. Flavor is much of the same--wheat malt, grassy and floral hops. Nice light fruity sweetness with a tinge of hops. Nice refreshing pilsener.

Poured a light yellow color with a white head. Aroma was really grassy and hints of hops. Flavor was sweet, grassy and several different types of hops.

On tap at Fette Sau in Brooklyn. Bright gold, with small bubbly head. Grainy and grassy with some lovely crisp bitter Hallertau hops. Nice finish. Great with the food there.

On tap at the brewery. Very light golden color, Modest head that held reasonably well. Very nice Pilsner type. Hops are surprisingly not too noticeable up front but with growing bitter finish. Similar to a Koelsch up front with light fresh fruity notes.
