On tap at the brewery. Very light golden color, Modest head that held reasonably well. Very nice Pilsner type. Hops are surprisingly not too noticeable up front but with growing bitter finish. Similar to a Koelsch up front with light fresh fruity notes.

Pours gold with nose of pale malt, honey, apricot, hops. Tastes crisp, with pale malt and hopcitrus giving way to fruity and hoppy flavors. Medium palate heft with decent complexity.

Draft at waterfront. MIld gold. No noticeable aroma to me. Nothing special, hoppy bite at the end.

On tap at Olde New York in State College, PA. Noses in a slightly husky pale grain, with a nip of bread. Plain. Pours a deeper golden, crystal clear, with a well-sustaining half-finger of white above. Flavor is right on for the style. A nice balanced malt sugar finds a home nestled amongst a surprising dash of cinnamon toast and cream. Rather clean, but also pretty plain. A nice Perle crispness finishes out the beer and makes it thirst-quenching. My palate tires of this beer a little, but it does develop some complexity in bread-like character as it develops. A solid Pilsener, for sure.

Tap at The Diamond: Slightly hazy golden with a small strong white head. Estery aroma with some dough, rotted apple and straw. Decent mouthfeel. Flavor has some doughy wet pale malts as well as a "lagered fruitiness" and a moderate grassy-mild bitter finish. Not a bad Pilsener, not great though.

A great pilsener by a hometown brewer. Aroma was so so but mostly light malt and hops. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was crisp and dry with a delicious hoppy bite in the aftertaste. Great beer.

On tap at Hop Devil in NYC. Pours clear and golden with a white head. The aroma has lots of clean pils malt and a small amount of spicy hops. The aroma shows no flaws which is impressive for how fragile it seems to be. The body is fairly think with spritzy carbonation. The flavor begins with crisp pils malt and has some spicy hops on the finish. This is pretty no-frills, but a nice solid pils that would be a fine session beer.
