Fairly brown color (old penny copper) with a small head. Aromas are sweet and mild. Flavor is pretty malty with a little bit of a hops boost. Not sure why they are serving Oktoberfest at ballgames in July, but it was nice. alexanderj (2262), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2007 Poured a clear golden/copper; smallish white head. Aroma was of sweet malt and honey. Flavor was of much the same with some light roastedness. Some decent hop presence. Pretty good for the style. brew4fun (169), West Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2007 12 oz. bottle Pours clear copper, mininimal head, no lacing. Aroma is spicy with definite banana tones. Body is light, typical of a lager. Taste is sweetly spicy, caramel present upfront but balancd by the hop spiciness. Munich malt blends perfectly with Hallertau hops. Classically German. Beatiful label! detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Lightly hazy copper color, topped with better than an inch of creamy tan foam. Very good head retention and lacing. Honeymalt in the aroma.
Nice blend of sweetness and bitterness in the flavor - sweet toasted malt, some dark honey, and hops that are mildly bitter and spicy.
Very smooth texture, creamy carbonation, and outrageously fresh tasting for a bottled beer. DMRz (224), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 24, 2006 Dark golden color with respectable body. It looks and feels right for the style. Slightly sweet aroma of malt and caramel. Taste has notes of caramel and banana/kiwi from the hops which provide respectable bitterness. Overall, a decent beer that is not the best but certainly not the worst. RCL (1478), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2006 A label with a nice history on it - I imagine an oompah band playing in the background as I crack the lid on this brown 12 oz bottle. Pours like a darker transparent regular lager. Pretty nice, perhaps sweet aroma. Real beery intial flavor with lots of personality that is beefy like and IPA or stout yet it is not offensively bitter. Some hop linger that lasts for a while on the finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Clear golden color with off white head. Sweet lager aroma with some graininess. Taste starts off rather neutral as the carbonation explodes. Then the sweetness and grain (maybe Munich) malts hit in concert. Nice balance. Just beyond midway the hop bitterness wrestles away the flavor dominance and goes all the way to a nice lingering hoppy aftertaste.
