Commercial Description:
Something has gone terribly wrong (or terribly right depending on your view) in the Brewhouse. One of the brewers must have added too much malt to the mash and made a very strong beer. Stronger than your used to from the brewery that makes authentic German styles. This super strong beer has put the whole place in a state of pandemonium.

- The beer is golden colored but very heavy with alcohol of about 8% by volume. It’s dangerously easy to drink, so as the bottle label states: “You’ve been warned.”

22. Thanks, Kim! Very lightly hazy medium caramel amber under a thin light gray film. Sweet orange, honey, and spice on the nose. Very light thin body with aggressive fizz. No booze on the nose or on the mid-palate (kind of amazing, that!). Fades into butterscotch. Lovely, interesting, and very well under control, which says something about their skills at Penn. Nicely done.

Draft at Which Brew. Poured a clear golden body with thin head. aroma is wheat, light hops. Flavor is bready, wheat and a somewhat warming feel to it. Intresting beer but not intresting enough to try it again.

I was not too thrilled with this very malty bock. The beer offered plenty of malted milk-ball flavor that to me seemed both cereal-y and slightly sour. The culmination of these two flavors was not something I tremendously enjoyed. This beer poured a tannish color, and was cloudy and a bit hazy. There was not very much head. Aroma was distinctly malty. Flavor was very much like a malted milk ball, but with some sourness I didn’t particularly enjoy. Mouthfeel was unremarkable. While I wouldn’t recommend this beer, it wasn’t bad. I bought this bottle out of curiosity from Minotti’s Liquor in North Olmsted, OH.

Nice gold pour and white head. clean favor but nothing overly exciting. Not a great fan of lighter beers so i would not recommend for fans of stouts but fans of lighter beers i think this would work fine

Pours a clear gold with a copper hue. A finger of pearl head that dies quick to little lacing. Smells of fresh bread, minute citrus. Taste is doughey with malt and a crisp carbonation. The mouthfeel is light to medium. Where is the 10% ABV? Seriously, this is probably the most dangerous beer I have had. Drinks like a Spaten which I could easily finish a 6 pack of but is leaving me cross eyed with this bomber. Not my favorite style but if its yours you better give this a try.

Very clear, pale beer with almost no head. What little head there is fades extremely fast. Aroma is alcoholic and malty, with almost no hops. Very clean aroma. No esters. Flavor is alcoholic and malty, with a faint hop presence. Warms all the way down. Again, a very clean flavor. No yeasty, earthy or ester characters. Finishes very well balanced. Strong for style, but real nice. Not sure why it is rated so low here, but this is a truly great beer.

Bottle. Pours a golden/amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is banana, yeast and some malt. Flavor is mostly leaning towards malt, with some caramel and some floral hops to attempt to balance the maltiness. Does not drink as strong as the brewer purports. Rather smooth, refreshing and drinkable....and unremarkable.

It may not live up to the hype but this beer is an easy-drinking session brew even with it’s high alcohol content, taste is malty sweet with mild bitterness, certainly not the best bock around, but not bad.
