Commercial Description:
Something has gone terribly wrong (or terribly right depending on your view) in the Brewhouse. One of the brewers must have added too much malt to the mash and made a very strong beer. Stronger than your used to from the brewery that makes authentic German styles. This super strong beer has put the whole place in a state of pandemonium.

- The beer is golden colored but very heavy with alcohol of about 8% by volume. It’s dangerously easy to drink, so as the bottle label states: “You’ve been warned.”

[431-20070721] 1pt6floz (w/ jerc). Light mouldy earth and bready yeast aroma with notes of nail polish/acetone and fruit. Clear, amber orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Same earthy bread flavour, like it was soaked in mud. Medium body is fairly smooth. Not too riotous but a strange mix nonetheless.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light copper body with a thin, white head. Smell: Butterscotch combined with wafts of medicinal alcohol. Taste: Sweet and corny, with a bit of bready malts and butterscotch. Faint fruitiness. Drying finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Slick mouthfeel. Drinkability: I could say it’s neither the most exciting beer I have ever faced nor is it really a beer I’d return to, but why interfere with the PBC? Live and let live, I say.

Poured a slightly murky deep yellow with a thin, quick fading head. Aroma is very malty, slightly yeasty with hints of sweet fruit, mostly banana. Flavor is almost all german malt with only hints of anything else, hay and grass if you search. Finish is watery, no heat or alcohol. This beer was drinkable, not even close to a drain pour, but not unlike alot of beers you get from the big brewing macros.

Bottle. Golden yellow body with small off white head that fades. Dry grainy aroma at first, sweet malty yeast character has an oddness to it. Very light acetone like note that I might not have identified if Mabel had not commented. Flavour is very similar to the aroma with the same odd yeasty character and sweet malty base, with a very light bitterness in the finish. Medium palate suffers from a seeming lack of carbonation. Meh. Just not doing much for me.

22oz bottle pours out a nice clear gold topped with a small white head. A little sweetness on it along with a touch of malt but not much elese going on thanks BuckDich

Bottle: Clear golden pour with a medium white head. Notes of malt, yeast, and a mild fruitiness are detectable. The taste is sweet and malty, a bit grassey and dull. Thanks BuckDich for sharing.

Pours a transparent copper orange with a thin, spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet pale caramel malt and German lager yeast. Body starts fairly full and sugary malty sweet with a touch of light fruits and some warmth toward the drier finish. Fairly true to style and drinkable. A pretty decent heller bock.
