Tap at Split Rock, ’04. Golden with a golden head and clear. Clean aroma with a touch of hops and malt. Nice malty hoppy balance. Some malt sweetness, hop flavor, and lingering bitterness and hops. Decent pils.

It had an above-average taste to it for a pilsener. An average appearance and it went down very smooth. I enjoyed this pilsener.

I thought that this was a lot better than most microbrews. It had a nice, clean taste that made it easy to drink. A nice, short tour if you have the opportunity to visit.

Golden pour with decent head. Malts are readily apparent as is the barley. In fact, barley dominates in this beer. Smooth, full mouthfeel.

had this one at the same time as troegs sunshine pils and talk about two opposites. this one poured a nice light goldem tan in comparision to the bright yellow of the troegs. mild malty flavors throughout with no real hops finish. I think if you would combine the two you could have a nice well balanced pilsner

Clear almost amber color with smallish head. Mostly malt aroma with some caramel. Mostly sweet malty taste and if you dig deep a touch of pine cones. Not much hops here. Surprisingly it’s kinda drinkable with no real sticky mouthfeel.

Brewtopia’04. Nice to see some PA representation at the fest, even if the fellow at the booth was less than enthusiastic to talk about his product. Poured and looked like a pils: pale gold, clear, foamy. A bit heavy on the malt side and somewhat cardboardish. Not much to the finish. Off the mark.

Clear golden color, nice amount of white bubbly head, nice retention as well, very crisp & clean, hoppiness wasn’t too overpowering, very dry & bitter finish, very drinkable, nice pils
