Poured a rich gold color with good carbonation and a nice white head. Good balance of hops and malt in the aroma that carried over into the flavor. Not too outrageously hoppy or malty which made it nice and easy to drink. Nothing too overpowering. pjk33 (384), Sligo - Curllsville Heights, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 19, 2004 Bottle, can, draught. This one pours a little darker than some crappy pilsners. OK head with lots of carb. Decent malt taste, but a little light on the hop bite. Not a bad one, just not fabulous. roder60 (1033), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2004 Very well balanced beer. Poured a light amber with some fuzzy white head. Malty, but not overpoweringly so. A little sense of some hops, but they aren’t pronounced at all. Very very smooth sweet finish. I really enjoyed this beer and would definitely have another in the future. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2004 Pours light amberish, with a great aroma of malt and hops. Solid, smooth, crisp mouthfeel, with some malt, hops, and toffee at the finish. A solid, complex pils. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

A bit darker, too. Sweet, light carmel malt flavor with a nice hop bitter. Kind of leaves me hanging there in the end a little bit, though. Weak finish and aftertaste. O.k. pils. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 28, 2004 Tasted at the brewery. Nice aroma, not a subdued malt complex. Color is a pale brown and the flavor is a nice robust and calm malt flavor, some hints of caramel, made it a great addition to the meal. Nothing like good german eats. jables (101), Champaign, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 24, 2004 Dark gold to copper color with an inch of white head that dissipates to a thin sheet. Clingy lace.
Aroma is sweet malt and grains.
Tastes sweet with rock candy sugars and grains. Finish is dry.
Pretty good pilsner, maybe a tad too sweet. Kind of boring but not offensive, not an everyday beer but interesting to try.
