Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of fruit, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, fruit, and red berries, leading to a dry woody and berry-like finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of goryshkewych. Pours a clear orangey brown with a creamy beige head leaving some laces. Sweet malty nose with lots of pumpernickel. Solid body, amazingly pleasant roasted malt base with an extremely smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. Warming alcohol finish. Compares with the best German Doppelbocks! Yummy. 231109

Bottle (batch #001)... Crystal clear mahogany lager with burnt orange highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The sweet, vinous aroma is an eddy of roasted malts, toasted nuts, caramel and herbal, spicy hops. Full-bodied with a lightly oily mouthfeel and bristly carbonation. Malty and sweet, but not overly so. Toasty and roasted with notes of caramel and chocolate malt. Subtle (but sufficient) German and English hop bitterness. The finish is lengthy and pleasantly bitter. Maybe a tad underrated, but spendy at $15.00 per bottle.
