All this has going for it is it color, dark blood red to black and a some nice seasonal smells- cinnamon, nutmeg. Possibly a chugger. jb (1035), Rochester, New York, USA

Aroma is heavy molasses, some graham crackers and through and through you can tell they didn’t hold back on the malt. The appearance is a nice red but has a very minimal head, but nice lacing. The palate is sweet, has a nice small-bubble carbonation feel, then it is a tad light in a middle with a wee bit of hops to dry out the end. Nice. As it warms, the maltiness comes out even more, and is less watery. No alcohol detected.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a translucent dark chocolate brown with a bit of off white head. It smelled like earthy caramel and sweet molasses malt, with honey wheat and a bit of hops and alcohol. It tasted like roasted chocolate and barley malt, with hops and a bit of sweet yeast. It was very thick with a bit of carbonation, and had a bittersweet aftertaste. Overall this was a tasty beer with clean flavor. It had great body, and it hid the alcohol well. durhambeer (1203), Durham, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Bottle from Sams in Durham. Dark clear brown pour with nearly white thin head that sticks around. Wheat and malt strong on the nose. Roasty chocolate. Odd vanilla-like notes. Definitely decent, and cool bottle. Simply okay beer. ARMed (485), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Merry Christmas! A good brew to drink on the eve before Christmas Eve in front of a nice fire. This has everything you need to enjoy a fine brew. The head is a fluffy beigh pillow, but it disapates a little too quick for my liking. The brew is a dark amber brew that has a good chocolate flavor. A little too sweet and malty for my liking, but otherwise not bad at all. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
