truegen (137), Puyallup, Washington, USA Mar 25, 2008 12oz. bottle from a beer club. Hazy tan in color, with a really active head that drops quickly with no lacing. Typical banana/clove flavor is a bit thin on the palate, and almost overwhelmed by a citrus tartness. Nothing notable on the back end--flavor just kind of drops off. Drinkable, but nothing special.
afireinside96 (498), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 On tap at KSBF ’08. Hazy gold body topped by a small head. Lemony citrus nose. Tastes of lemon and earth. A little different but very good. jkaiser (114), USA Oct 2, 2008 Tried this at beerfest, number 13. Read it was a great beer from the Mens Journals I read. Unfortunitly, I can’t taste any more due to being drunk. This wheat beer added to my enjoyable time. I wouldn’t mind having it again to give it a better chance at representing itself. Beerman6686 (782), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 29, 2008 Poured a hazy yellow color with a big white head. Aroma was lots of spices, tons of cloves. The flavor is so clovey it almost tastes like a ham beer, not too great. emacgee (1136), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 24, 2008 Pours a murky yellow orange with a one to two finger frothy white head. The nose is wheaty, lightly sour, some lemongrass, clove, banana, very estery. The flavor is similar, clove and banana esters, a little ctirus peel bite, wheaty. Crisp mouthfeel. Not bad, drinkable. Immy (1589), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Sep 11, 2008 12 oz bottle from LooseCannon. Muddy gold with a slight white head. Nice banana and clove scent over solid wheat. Flavor is yeasty fruity, spicy clove and banana with touches of lemon. Tasty - and this is a style I’m not crazy about. Nice medium body, soft, with a pretty clean finish. Good.
