Chocolate, burnt coffee, and roasted malt on the nose. Semi sweet malt, chocolate, and a light earthy hop bitter. Medium full bodied beer with an almost creamy carbonation but not. The best beer I think I’ve had from these guys to date. zach8270 (2131), Henrietta, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours brown with copper to gold edges and off white head. The aroma has chocolate, roasty malts, earthiness, some grainy malts, molasses and faint burnt malts. The taste is roasty to mildly burnt malts to go along with some dark fruity esters and then moving into mild earthy notes. It gets somewhat dry for a moment or two before the malt and modest caramel sweetness surge into the finish.
