Dec 7, 2008 20080510 From growler at Pauls 1st Hoboken gathering. Thanks to JCWattsrugger. Pretty smoky with peat and plenty of earth tones. Soft mouthfeel. Nice and strong but well disguised and balanced.

Dec 1, 2008 <i>Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. </i> Dark ruby, minimal head. Peaty medicinal aroma. Sweet and bready, roasty and caramelly. Medium-full bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Heavily roasty with notes of burn buns, fairly low bitterness. Warming, but superficial.

Nov 19, 2008 Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of light peat, brown sugar, caramel, spice, peppery. Tastes sweet and malty with some roasty hints on the finish.

Nov 19, 2008 Pours mahogany into a thistle. Off-white head recedes leaving sheet lacing. Caramel and smoke aromas. Sweet, and well-balanced with smoked caramel malts that lasts through the lasting finish.

Aug 16, 2008 Thanks to Aaron for this one. Dark brown body with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, brown sugar, and molasses. Flavor has notes of brown sugar and maple. Sticky body.

Jun 17, 2008 Bottle @ ORL throwdown, courtesy of mcbackus. Dark brown body, quite clear with a thin cream colored head. Smoke, peat, a lot of caramel and a hint of roast. Tastes much the same with a lot of caramel and kissed with peat/smoke. Nice mouthfeel, light carb, some astringent drying on the palate from the smoke. Good!

Jun 10, 2008 Sampled at Paul’s Hoboken gathering, I think this was shared by JCWattsrugger. Lightly hazy deep reddish brown in color. Aroma: peat smoke, molasses, earth. Taste has smooth caramel/molasses with a good amount of peat smoke. Nice medium body, alcohol well hidden. Very nice.
