Pretty descent drink. Mild carbonation followed by even blend of malt and bitterness.

Bottle… Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, white head. Earthy, citric aroma includes caramel, grapefruit and a whisper of evergreen. Barely medium-bodied and ascerbic with middling carbonation. Nicely balanced with moderate caramel sweetness and judicious, tannic, grapefruit rind and pith bitterness. Finishes crisp, mildly bitter and then bone-dry. Cheers to mcbackus for floating this bottle my way!

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber body with a one finger fizzy beige head. Lots of visible carbonation. The nose is slightly sweet crackery and toasted malt. Just a hint of English hops. The taste is grainy and husky with some dry roasted maltiness. Some light hoppy bitterness on the finish. Pretty bland. Mouthfeel is thin and light bodied with too much fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, this was just a pretty weak effort.

This beer pours dark redish color with a thin head and mild laceing along the sides of the galss. The aroma is very strong as the beer warms up. There are some hints of fruits which give it a nice sweet smell, as well as some bitter hops with a caramel in the background. the flavor is very earthy and bitter intially. Although it fades some what quick the finish is very simle and dry.

Pours a deep, clear brown-amber colour with a creamy tan head that fades to a thin cap and leaves consistent rings of lacewith each sip. The aroma is of caramel, dark fruits, toasted bready malts and mild nutty tones. The flavour is dry and roasty with a nice hop bitterness to crispen up the bready malt and earthy caramel malt flavours. The palate is crisp, creamy and dry with a bitter, legnthy finish. Very drinkable and balanced. Lacking complexity in the finish a bit.

Bottle. Poured deep crimson with a firm and clinging head of loose tan foam. The aroma is dry and rich, full of a roasty, nutty essence. This drinks with a creamy mouthfeel, but with only a moderate body. The first impression is of a crisp, clean mellow ale. But as it slowly settles off the tongue, the beer delivers a nice cacophony of rich, elemental flavors -- toffee, caramel, woodchips, and even a bit of green grapes. This would go well with roast turkey on Thanksgiving. (#3118, 10/1/2007)

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper ruby red color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, light roast, earthy and some dark fruits. Very interesting. Tastes of roasted and toasted caramel, bready, and earthy.
