Bottle… Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, white head. Earthy, citric aroma includes caramel, grapefruit and a whisper of evergreen. Barely medium-bodied and ascerbic with middling carbonation. Nicely balanced with moderate caramel sweetness and judicious, tannic, grapefruit rind and pith bitterness. Finishes crisp, mildly bitter and then bone-dry. Cheers to mcbackus for floating this bottle my way!

Bottle sampled at Noog Four-0 5/31/08 courtesy of jcwattsrugger: Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin, stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet grainy toasty pale malt and a touch of grassy hops. Body starts with some doughy toffee sweetness and toasty character before a drier, smooth finish. A pretty decent amber.

Pours brown with a thin off white head. Smells of caramel, some spicy hints. Tastes earthy and semi sweet with some fruity undertones.
