Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Jul 1, 2009 Updated: Aug 12, 2009Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells of sweet fruit (strawberries...), some buttery hints, toasty, earthy. Tastes sweet and fruity with a crisp finish and a nice balance of carbonation decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jun 23, 2009 Deep gold almost copper with very little head or lace. Aroma is caramel malt. Flavor semi sweet malt, a slight light bitter finish. A good beer that seems to change flavors in your mouth long after it is down the hatch. Medium bodied with pretty solid mouthfeel. Nice beer all round. A beer that could carry 6% abv easily. Nice offering mcox90 (618), Wilton, USA Jun 7, 2009 Draft at Amigo’s in Milford N.H. Sold under the name Amigo’s Lager, But from conversations with Pennichuck I know it is really Ladder 1 Lager. Pours a rich golden reddish color with a small white head and no lace. Nose is quite fruity with a malt background. Nice soft mouthfeel with a moderate body. Carbonation is on the low side. Flavor is heavy on the citrus, peaches and necterines, with a strong malty backbone. Not much going on with hops. Could of used a little hop bite to jazz it up. Nice sessionable brew . Earlier Rating: 9/22/2007 Total Score: 3.5 12 oz bottle. Poured a deep golden color with a hint of red. Small white head with minimal lacing. The first whiff of the brew was of peaches and necterines, then became more breadlike. Mouthfeel was meduim. Not dry, but not heavy and oily either. Taste was same as aroma. The first few sips were very citrus like. Mainly peaches, necterines, and maybe some cherry. the middle of the beer was yeasty. Finish was dry with some hop flavor coming out. I’m not knowledgable as to what a Vienna should be, but I know I liked this brew. Would be a good session beer. Wasatch (270), Layton, Utah, USA Dec 21, 2008 Pours a nice slight hazy golden brown color, nice carbonation, nice little creamy off-white head, with some nice sticky lacing hanging around. The nose is malty, slight citrus/spice. The taste is malty, sweet, very slight soury. Medium body. Drinkable, this is a nice one, pretty tasty. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Thanks to jcwattsrugger for bringing this one out. Amber colour, thin white head. Lightly malty and appley. Thin-bodied and pretty poor really. Slightly sweet but without any actual malt character at all. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jun 7, 2008 Date: 05/31/2008
