| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 23, 2009 Pours a five+ finger cream head that fades very slowly leaving some lace. Murky brown/amber color, ton of yeast left in bottle. Fierce carbonation and medium bodied. Slight lemon nose. Flavor is hoppy lemon with some yeast. There are better hefes like Julius Echter Hefe-Weissbier. $5.99 for a 22oz bottle from The Meat House Pembroke, NH. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 28, 2009 22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark gold body with a large fizzy white head that faded to a wispy film. Hearty yeast and wheat nose with a bit of earthiness. Lots of wheat and yeast flavor, but not a whole lot of esters or fruitiness from the yeast. More of an American Wheat style beer than a Hefe. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slightly thick yeast slurry texture and lots of fizzy carbonation. Not an especially good Hefe, but I’ve come to not expect terribly good things from most American Hefes. Rciesla (3610), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy copper orange body with a white foamy head. Wheat notes a light lemon zest, some stale cheese notes, a bit of banana but no real bubblegum notes. Light spices a bit acrid and dry with some danker malt notes and coriander. Decent brew although a bit thin and light. CheersMate1 (793), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 7, 2009 22 oz. purchased at Greens on Ponce De Leon. Big fluffy head. Haze dark orange appreance. Looks pretty damn good. Head eventually fades away. Aroma is slight spice/orange/yeast and slight touch of banana. Very nuanced aroma. Actually, this aroma is well balanced, although it is not extremely pungent. Ah...what the? The flavor is not what I expected. The aroma is much better than the taste. Very weak on the citrus/orange and the yeast. The sublte banana is gone! There is a slight fruit flavor at the end, but the carbonation provides an unfavorable bite that is not pleasing to me. Not as smooth as most German Hefes. Just cut back on the carbon, and let the taste follow the aroma...Pennichuck! craftycarl21 (551), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is very bready, with notes of banana, citrus, and spice. Flavor follows suit, with some sweeter notes in the form of caramel and some nectar fruit, like a bit of apricot. Very drinkable, and the palate is quite refreshing. Really a solid hefe from Pennichuck. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Taste is a burst of pepper/clove-spice, then banana, sweet light malt, light fruit. Aggressive carbonation. Thanks mcox90 for the trade. ChainGangGuy (2558), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2009 22 ounce bottle - $4.99 at Bullock’s in Marietta, Georgia.
Appearance: Very cloudy, amber body with a foamy, large, off-white head.
Smell: Toasted whole wheat bread delicately dusted with spices alongside fruity notes of banana, Red Delicious apples, and day-old lemon rinds.
Taste: Tangy, toasted wheat malts stirred up with a blend of cinnamon and sugar and cake crumbs. Slight citrus hints. Modest amount of whole bananas and even some apple. Moderate Noble hop character and bitterness. Some touches of clove and nutmeg. Sweetish tastes of toasty wheat until the very fizzy finish with a final zip of citrus.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Well carbonated, almost sharply effervescent.
Drinkability: Hey. HEY. Whoa!! Easy on the fizz, Pennichuck. Geez Louise... There some pleasant flavors going on and it holds promise, but for future releases, please tone down that overtly fizzy carbonation. SSSteve (2064), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 1, 2009 murky orange/gold under a very large foamy head. lots of lively carbonation bubbles line the glass. lemony sour aroma bright with citrus notes. light bodied, over-carbonated palate. no creaminess. flavor still focuses more on the citrus side for me than the softer banana. a bit of dusty basement flavor.
