1L bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a slightly hazy, golden-brown color; thin light-tan head with patchy lacing. Basic amounts of caramel and soft dried fruits in the aroma; toasty, clean. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of caramel, dried dark fruits, and apple notes upfront; reasonably tasty, clean doppelbock expression; solid yeastiness and nougat notes throughout. Medium finish: toasty malts, nougat, and caramel; dry and reasonably toasty.

1 liter swing top bottle poured into a tulip glass has a ruby red brown color and a thick frothy two finger dark tan head. aroma of raisin, plumb, caramel, brown sugar and a touch of molasses. lightly sweet and thick and chewy. medium mouth feel with average carbonation. flavor has chewy caramel malt, plenty of dark sweetness, plumb, raisin, nuts, and slight roasted malt. very well balanced although on the sweet side.

Thanks to jcwatsrugger for sharing this one. his brew is a clear dark chestnut that holds up an off-white head. Malty nutty aroma. The flavor follows the aroma.

btl opened by jcwattsrugger. Dark brown pour with hints of red light tan head and lace. A hint of raisins and brown sugar on the nose. Flavor is mollasses and light toasted malt with a hint of cheeriness. Full bodied well carbonated beer. Very solid very drinkable beer. I liked it.

Poured a clear amber color with a large beige head. Sweet sugary malt aroma. Caramel notes dominate the aroma and flavor. A one dimensional sweetness for this one.

Very good brew. Pours red brown. So smooth, a bit of sweetness, some dark fruit and spice. Just down the road from me, who knew?
