Bottle courtesy of Swoopjones. Thanks! Gold body, thin white head. Nose is lightly toasted malt, ginger presents itself in a warming & welcoming kind of way - not overly aggressive but certainly noticeable. Flavor is rather blase - I guess there is some clean pils malt and a bit of hop character but the ginger soon overwhelms that. Hops come out in the finish, but more in terms of bitterness than flavor. Great body on this one - the carbonation is just perfect.

Bottle. Aroma of citrus, grass, squash, and of course ginger. Flavor is malty, though not really pilsener-malty, sugary more than bready, and with a seedy, very orange citrus character rather than crisp lemon notes. Of course the ginger is there as well, sort of playing its own ballgame. It just doesn’t work, and isn’t what I’m looking for in a pilsener, ginger or otherwise. However, I could see it pairing well with those Japanese foods mentioned, though not sure about the German.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Aroma of carrot, spices (pepper, ginger). Flavor is also quite spiced in the initial sip with some wheaty, bready malt in the finish. Definite ginger notes are pleasant. Overall, this is bland and bad. It really should be labeled as a spice/herb/vegetable because it was not very pilsener-like. Nice crisp copper coloured body with a thick dense tan head. Aroma of potent ginger, light hops, malt, acidity and a bit of fresh fruit. Medium-bodied; Astringent flavour at first, then fading to a more rounded malt flavour with ginger really coming out. Metal is noticeable in the aftertaste with a little bitterness and some mild fruits coming through as well. Overall, a pretty mild and somewhat refreshing beer for a warm day! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at Half-Time in Poughkeepsie, New York on 11-June-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 12-July-2009.

(bottle - 22 oz) Slightly hazy amber color with a very thin white head. Aroma is very light with a small amount of malt sweetness and a very light hint of ginger. Flavor begins with a mild ginger spice that quickly moves into a dry bitter middle and a lightly sour and tart gingery finish. Aftertaste lingers for a bit.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted until mid-glass and left partial lace. There is barely any noticeable aroma. Perhaps a bit of malt and a trace amount of ginger is about all. The flavor is grains with some grassy hops towards the finish. There is no sign of ginger in the flavor except for some mild heat that emerges near the swallow towards the back of the throat. If I had not read the label, I don’t think I would have picked up on the fact that there was ginger in this beer. An ok beer as it is.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy golden colour with a small white head. Rounded aroma of straw, white bread, and mild ginger in the aroma. Mediumj-bodied with pale malts, mild citric fruits, ginder, toffee and subtle noble hops. Medium-bitter finish of grass, pale malts, and mild ginger. Surprisingly good beer with the word "ginger" on the label.

Aroma of pale malt, toffee, mild ginger and light grassy hops. Flavour is fruity along with pale malt, mild ginger and grassy hops. Average bodied. Pretty good.
