| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2009 Little oxidized on the nose, still very malt forward. Bright copper, creamy head, great lacing. Still oxidized in the sip, gives soon enough to the strong caramel malt, little burnt, burst of hops in the finish, nicely done. eaglefan538 (2399), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Bottle from CT. The pour was fairly typical, orangey-copper with a satisfactory head. The aroma was grassy caramel with a touch of toast. The flavor followed the aroma, not much to it, a slight off earthy taste in there. The mouthfeel was moderately bodied with some full malty depth. Could have finished a bit cleaner. durhambeer (1227), Durham, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Bottle shared by emacgee. Bitter and sweet hops on the nose. Amber/light brown clear pour with small head. Crisp finish and a nice malt character. A pleasant take on a not-always-exciting style. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Bomber shared by emacgee - thanks, Ethan! Somewhat cloudy pour, dark orange and earthy looking. The aroma is nice and nutty, fairly standard to style. But there’s a yeasty sharpness in the taste, which - along with a somewhat dry finish - struck me as at least idiosyncratic for this typically drab style. Not bad. lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
