| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 29, 2009 22oz bottle. a clear rusty colored beer under a medium sized frothy beige head. toffee, toast, textbook malty aroma. full flavored with toasted malt, hints of nuts, toffee. medium bodied. very smooth. robust enough to bring out the great flavors of the style while still preserving the correct amount of ’delicate’ you find in this style. it’s not over the top in a good way. this beer and ayinger’s example stand alone in this catagory IMO. perfectly crafted. pennichuck is brewing some amazing beers up there in NH!! unclemattie (2438), Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours a beautiful deep reddish copper color. Tall off-white frothy head. Perfect lace. Aroma has a touch of wooded earthiness. Nice hop floral. Aroma is mostly malt, nice Vienna and a touch of caramel. Toasted malt sweetness. Flavor is very mild. A bit of the sweeter side. Lots of toasted cereal flavor. I have yet to be disappointed by this brewery. Lingering flavor of a malt nuttiness. Lots of Munich malt character, not too musty, earthy, bready, sweet. Finishes with the slightest bit of wood flavor. Sticky texture, medium bodied. Full flavored. My 50th Oktoberfest/Märzen!
Not sure how the name reflects firefighting but still a really good beer. Pastor (509), Maine, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Feels like fall so I had to grab this one today. Poured this one into a large Nonic it produced a two finger white head that lasts and follows the brew down the glass. The body of the beer is a clear ruby red in color
There are Great aromas of sweet caramel malts along with a great breadiness. As it warms you get a slight fruitiness as well in the aroma. The flavors of sweat grains and bread filed my mouth there is also a little bit of alcohol burn as it warms. The brew had a great feel in my mouth with ample carbonation.
An easy to drink brew one of the better of the style I have had. I will defiantly grab more of this brew

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Excellent Oktoberfest. Very full and rich body with a surprisingly complex finish. Keep telling yourself this is just a lager. Perhaps a touch of flatness in the finish, such as pelletized hops? Overall, still very good. jimhilt (1691), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
